Overview

This trip will take you to both Kibale and Semliki National Parks.Kibale National Park is mostly known for its chimp tracking and it’s a home of a lot of primate species. You will still go to Bigodi swamp where you do birding. Semuliki National Park is located in the extreme west part of Uganda in Bundibugyo district. The park has about 336 tree species of which 24 are restricted to Semuliki, for example lovoasurymertonii and cordiamillenii which are all interesting to be seen. Still the holiday will be interesting because semulik has a lot to offer, the park has about 435 birdspecies, 63 species of mammals like pygmy squirrel, water chevrotain, forest buffaloes, blue duiker and target rat. Other activities may include jungle walk and you will see the interesting Batwa community.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala-Kibale National park

Depart from Kampala to Kibale National Park, the drive will take around 6-7hours. You will have lunch in Fortpotal. It’s a scenic drive that will take you through woodlands, tea plantation. Kibale National park is one of the best tourist destination in Africa particularly Uganda. The Park is located in south Uganda protecting moist ever green rain forest. The park is with in districts of Kaborole and Kamwenge. Kibale has one of the highest concentration of primate in Africa.You will have an overnight atNdali lodge/ kanyankyu ecological Centre/ Mountain of the moon/ Primate lodge/ Kyaninga lodge/ Fort Motel.

Day 2: Chimp trekking Tour

After breakfast you will go for chimp trekking, during the trekking you will spot primates like white colobus monkeys, Elephants. Return to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon go a nature walking at Bigodi sanctuary, it has fauna and flora. Overnight at Ndali lodge/ kanyankyu ecological Centre/ Mountain of the moon/ Primate lodge/ Kyaninga lodge/ Fort Motel.

Day3: Kibale to Semuliki National Park

After breakfast in the morning, head to semuliki, you can take a visit toSempaya hot springs. The road offer scenic view of Semuliki River and the tropical rain forest. Semuliki National park is located in the extreme corner of western Uganda with in the district of Bundibugyo. The park lies on the border of Democratic Republic of Congo on the western arm of the eastern African rift valley. The park is one the newest national parks and it was gazeted in October 1993. The park has both jungle and lowland tropical rain forest. The park has the richest area of fauna and flora diversity in Africa. Dinner and overnight at Semuliki Safari Lodge

Day4: Game drive in Semuliki

After breakfast in the morning, you will go for Forest jungle walk takes you up to river Semuliki meanders, buffaloes and elephants, statungas, leopards, pigmy hippos, and a wide range of forest and water birds may be seen, you will return back for lunch and relax. Later in the afternoon you will go for an evening game drive. Here you may see wildlife like forest, Pygmy Flying Squirrel, leopards, hippos, buffaloes, water chevrotains, bush babies, Mona Monkeys,civets and elephants .Dinner and overnight at Semuliki Safari Lodge

Day5: Return to Kampala

After breakfast in the morning head off for Kampala, stopover in Fort Portal for lunch. This marks the end this trip.The Safari Price quotations include: Transport with fuel, an English-Speaking driver, Water within the Vehicle, accommodation, park fees and all meals.
