OVERVIEW

The 5 days trip will takes you to Semuliki and Queen Elizabeth National Park in the extreme west part of Uganda in Bundibugyo district. The park has about 336 tree species of which 24 are restricted to semulik, forexample lovoa surymertonii and cordia millenii which are all interesting to be seen. Still the holiday will be interesting because semulik has a lot to offer, the park has about 435 bird species, 63 species of mammals like pigmysquirrel, water chevrotain, forest buffaloes, blueduiker and target rat. Other activities may include jungle walk and you will see the interesting Batwa community. While Queen Elizabeth National Park forms the most diverse ecosystems in Africa. The Park is the home of the famous tree climbing lions, topi, Uganda Kob, hyenas, elephants, baboons, hippos and a lot of primates like Chimpanzees and more. Launch trip will also be done along kazinga channel between Lake Geoge and Edward.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Semulik National Park.

After breakfast in the morning, head to Semuliki, lunch in fort portal, after lunch you can take a visit to Sempaya hot springs. The road offer scenic view of Semulik River and the tropical rain forest.Semuliki National park is located in the extreme corner of western Uganda with in the district of Bundibugyo. The park lies on the border of Democratic Republic of Congo on the western arm of the eastern African rift valley. Dinner and overnight at Semuliki lodge/primate lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking/ Evening game drive

After breakfast in the morning, you will go into rainforest to look for chimpanzee, you will return back for lunch and relax. Later in the afternoon you will go for an evening game drive. Here you may see wildlife like forest, Pygmy Flying Squirrel, leopards, hippos, buffalos, water chevrotains, bush babies, Mona Monkeys, civets and elephants.

Day 3:From Semulik to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast in the morning head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National park is the most popular tourist destination in Uganda and is one of the oldest national parks in Uganda. Queen Elizabeth national park is located in western Uganda in districts of Kamwenge, Kasese, Bushenyi and Rukungiri. Overnight at Mweya safari lodge/ jacana safari lodge/ Queen Elizabeth safari lodge/ samba safari camp.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Go in for agame drive in the Park after an early morning breakfast, you may see the big five; lions, Buffalo, Elephants, Giant forest hog, Waterbucks, Bushbucks and Kobs. You may also see birds like jacana, shoebill and pelican. An overnight at Mweya safari lodge/ jacana safari lodge/ Queen Elizabeth safari lodge/ samba safari camp.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National park-Kampala (417kms)

You may Visit the blue lake or visit the bat cave. This is all done after breakfast. Then proceed for Kampala.
